TNN, Sep 12, 2023: The Times of India

In a unanimous decision, stakeholders — including business firms, political organisations and hoteliers — rejected aproposal to rename Lansdowne after first Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat. They said the renaming would prove costly for the tourism industry, which is the mainstay of the town’s economy. CM Dhami had announced the proposal for renaming in April.
