Phultala, 1908

Village in the head-quarters subdivision of Khulna District, Bengal, situated in 22 58' N, and 89 29' E., on the Bhairab river. Population (1901), 3,911. It has a brisk sugar manufacture and a large trade, in rice, betel-leaves, &c. Phultala is a station on the Eastern Bengal State Railway, and is also connected with Khulna town by a good road.
