Akbaruddin Owaisi is an Indian political leader based in Hyderabad, Telangana.

He is a member of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and party's floor leader in the now dissolved Telangana Legislative Assembly. He is a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Chandrayangutta constituency of Telangana. He is also the managing director of Owaisi hospital which was set up by his father.

A member of Owaisi family, Akbaruddin is the son of Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi and Nazima Begum. He is the younger brother of AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi.

Owaisi quit his MBBS study in the second year to join politics. He was elected MLA from Chandrayangutta constituency in 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014. Now, he is seeking his fifth term in the 2018 Telangana Assembly Elections.
