BFJA

The Bengal Film Journalists' Association (BFJA), founded in 1937, is the oldest association of film critics in India. The following year, in 1938, during the 1st Motion Picture Congress s, which was held in Faridpur (now in Bangladesh), BFJA also became the first institution in India to identify and award, every year, the best films of the preceding year.
