Marykundu Oru Kunjadu, a Christmas release has been included in the list and that too at number two, as collections for first week is extraordinary and the film carries very good reports. The film, in 10 days, has collected a share that Kariyasthan took 17 days to collect!

Reasons - A comedy caper that worked well, along with fine performances.

Trade Facts - A film that cost Rs 2.25 Crore and did business for Rs 3 Crore from theatres.

Reasons - Mohanlal and Samuthirakani`s acting and total packaging

Trade Facts - The film made at a cost of Rs 3.5 Crore has made Rs 3.75 as distributor`s share. It has recovered its cost of production from theatricals and taking other rights will be profitable for the producer.

9 Pranchiyettan and the Saint

Classification - Hit

Reasons - Something different by director Renjith, with superb performance by Mammootty

Trade Facts - Made on a shoe string budget of Rs 1.50 Crore (Mammootty did not take his salary), film has taken a distributors share of Rs 2 Crore.

Reasons - A youthful entertainer with new actors along with good music and packaging.

Trade Facts - Film made at a cost of Rs 1.75 crore has made Rs 2 crore from theatricals alone.
