The star-studded musical night which is also India’s biggest musical extravaganza, the 12th Smule Mirchi Music Awards 2020 was held today at a studio in Andheri. The night was hosted by Shekhar Ravjiani and Aparshakti Khurana, accompanied by Neeti Mohan.

Several Bollywood A-listers attended the red carpet musical night which created a perfect blend of glamour and cinematic brilliance. Celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Tapsee Pannu, A R Rahman, Neha Bhasin, Shreya Ghoshal, Talat Aziz, Ila Arun, Bappi Lahiri, Anand ji, Sunny Leone, Urvashi Rautela, Raveena Tandon and many more added to the glamour of the night.

The Awards honoured musical talent across many categories like Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Male and Female vocalist, Listener choice awards, Upcoming artist awards and 2 new categories Mirchi’s Social Media Icon of the year and Mirchi Trendsetter Album of the year. The prestigious Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to none other than Usha Mangeshkar. On receiving the Award, she said, “I am indeed honoured to receive this award. I want to take this opportunity to thank my fans and colleagues for the love and support I have received from them over the years. It has been such a joy to be part of this amazing industry!”

Some of the highlights of the evening were electrifying performances by Neha Kakkar, Vishal- Shekhar, AR Rahman, Darshan Raval and Meet Bros. The arena got mesmerized with a special unplugged version by Amit Kumar. Performances by Shilpa Rao, Kavita Seth, Aditi Paul, Shruti Pathak, Akriti Kakkar, Kanika Kapoor, Sachet - Parampara, Aaman Trikha, Hamsika Iyer, Asees Kaur, Paroma, Akasa Singh, Sohail Sen, Tulsi Kumar, Mythili Thakur and Bhoomi Trivedi kept the audience entertained throughout the evening. There was a special gag session by Sunil Grover that had the audience in splits.
