Islamabad-Rawalpindi Jinnah Park

The twin cities (Islamabad and Rawalpindi) are particularly known for their lush green lawns, healthy climate, pollution free atmosphere and peaceful environment. And when we think of peaceful environment, parks are the first things that come to our mind! Parks not only attract children for recreation, but also are an attraction for everyone; the young and old alike. While the young might come there to jog or have fun with friends, old come to sit and enjoy the weather or walk for a while.

One of the best and most famous parks in the twin cities is the Rawalpindis Jinnah Park. This is not just a random park with benches and swings for children; in fact, it is one of those parks that are huge and built on a plan. It has fountains that give an amazing effect at any time of the day or night when turned on. Water flowing out of these fountains gives a very soothing effect. The play area for children makes it fun for young infants and older children to go and visit this park.

The beauty of Jinnah Park, Rawalpindi, cannot be described in words. The lush green lawns of this park, the bright flowerbeds and the serene environment make it difficult for people to come back once they visit this place. Among other attractions, there is some beautiful and rather huge pottery done at Jinnah Park which is an amusement to see.

Jinnah Park is built on the location of the demolished Rawalpindi Central Jail where many prisoners were executed, including the former Prime minister and President of Pakistan Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. The park is very well built and maintained. However, a fee has to be paid when entering the park on a private vehicle or motorcycle.

One reason why Jinnah Park is so famous among people of all ages is that a very famous international fast food restaurant is situated there. It has a play area, built on a vast open space, which offers fun rides to children. I would not go into the details of the yummy delights this place offers but let me say that having those delicious delights in the Jinnah Park, Rawalpindi, has a charm of its own.

Furthermore, a five-screen multiplex cinema complex was opened in Jinnah Park last year. The company that has built this place is dedicated to providing world-class theatre experience to the public as the new cinema complex is equipped with state-of-the-art hi-technology equipment; the design of the theatre arenas can be compared with the best in the world and built according to global award winning standards. The launch of this cinema complex has increased the entertainment options offered to the public. It shows the best of Hollywood, Bollywood and Pakistani movies, which people can enjoy with friends and family. I must say it’s a great addition to Islamabad and Pindi. The opening of this complex has increased the cinema-going trend and now children, teenagers and adults are all seen going to the theatre to enjoy the latest flicks.

To conclude, a trip to Jinnah Park is a must for everybody who visits Islamabad/Pindi because it offers lot more than a simple park does. Come to Jinnah Park and you can enjoy one of the best and latest movies at the best cinema in town, have a great meal and last but definitely not least enjoy the nature in the amazing weather of the twin cities!
