Miss India 1980: Sangeeta Bijlani, a name to deem with on the ramp, she tried her hand in Hindi films before she married the famous cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin. Nowadays, she's regular face in page 3 parties. She and Azhar have launched their own production company, to produce television serials.

Sangeeta Bijlani (Miss India, 1980) started off with television commercial advertisements and then moved on to mainstream films. She had a short but noticeable stint in Bollywood and soon married former ex-captain of the Indian cricket team, Mohammad Azharuddin.

Meenakshi Seshadri

Meenakshi Seshadri

Meenakshi Seshadri was just 17 when she won the Miss India contest in 1981. Naturally, she was the youngest woman to be crowned Miss India. She is best known for her role in Hindi film 'Damini' that went on to become a mega-success and received a number of awards including the coveted National Film Award. Meenakshi won accolades for her versatility and display of varied sets of emotions on screen.

Meenakshi Seshadri who won the Miss India contest in 1981 at age of 18 did her first Tamil film ‘En Rathathin Rathame’ opposite K. Bhagyaraj 1989. It was a remake of Mr. India and Meenakshi got the commanding role Sridevi played in Hindi. But film was a disaster and she lost the race. She was brought back in 1994 by K. Balachander for ‘Duet’. But only A R Rahman was remembered in the film.
