This unconventional beauty represented India at the Miss Universe 2009 but could not make it to the semi-finals. She is the granddaughter of Delhi's first CM Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Yadav. Ekta is a well-known model today.

Pooja also won Miss Beautiful Smile and Miss Beautiful Body title at the Miss India 2009 pageant. She represented India at the Miss World 2009 pageant and won the Beauty with a cause title. Pooja did a cameo in Madhur Bhandarkar's film Fashion. Another beauty from Pune, Pooja Chopra won Miss India in 2009.

Pooja Chopra is one of the latest fashion-to-Bollywood stories – her latest film being the lukewarm ‘Commando – A One Man Army’.

She went on to become a Semifinalist at the 2009 Miss World (where she won the Beauty With A Purpose, formerly known as Miss World Scholarship, award)
