Pond's Femina Miss India World 2013 Navneet Kaur Dhillon helped India bag the Multimedia Award at the Miss World 2013 pageant in Indonesia for the second time in a row. The award was first introduced by the Miss World Organization in 2012 when India's Vanya Mishra clinched it.

The Multimedia Award is adjudged on how contestants presented their web section of the Miss World website and a Facebook page wherein they interact with fans through status updates, photos and videos. The maximum updates, interactions, likes and shares by fans earn fast track points on the Miss World scoreboard and ultimately help the contestant win the Multimedia Award.

Navneet's active interaction with her fans, her regular updates about the experiences at the Miss World 2013 contest through self-clicked photos and videos on the assigned Facebook page helped her win this prestigious award. Her contributions in particular on the Multimedia Award day were appreciated where she helped raise awareness about the rare Sumatran Tiger as she posted some really clever and prompt updates using pictures and videos through the day.

The Miss World pageant also has a Beauty with a Purpose award which is given to the contestant who makes special dedication to a charitable cause to help those who are less fortunate.

Navneet, in her endeavour to win this award, joined hands with Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Pureit Brand to spread awareness about the importance of safe drinking water in India. Under its 'Unilever Pureit Protecting lives' programme, she and the brand's key NGO partner Integrated Village Development Program (IVDP), spent a few days in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri district to talk about the cause.

21 -year old Srishti Rana has made the country proud by winning the coveted Miss Asia Pacific 2013 title outclassing 49 other contestants in Korea on Oct 30. Srishti looked gorgeous in a Falguni & Shane gown as she was being crowned by the reigning Miss Asia Pacific World 2012 Himangini Singh Yadu from India.

Srishti Rana came out as a unanimous winner in the 50th year of Miss India. She also won the Best National Costume Award in an outfit depicting the national Bird of India- Peacock. Dia Mirza also won the title for India in the year 2000.

Vineet Jain, Managing Director, Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. said at the historic achievement, " With this monumental win, Srishti has recorded her name in the annals of history with the likes of Dia Mirza, Zeenat Aman, Namrata Shirodkar and Tara Anna Fonseca."

Sobhita Dhulipala: Miss Photogenic (at the Miss Earth 2013 pageant)

Ponds Femina Miss India Earth 2013 Sobhita Dhulipala clinched gold at the Miss Earth 2013 pageant by winning the Miss Photogenic title.

Sobhita bagged the gold medal with 8465 votes and won the coveted title, while the silver medal went to Miss Macau Ashley Qian who had 8082 votes and the bronze medal was won by Miss Philippines Angelee delos Reyes with 4796 votes respectively.

Sobhita represented India at the Miss Earth 2013 pageant held in Philippines on December 7, 2013.

Miss India 2012 finalist, later Miss United Continent Vice-Queen Purva Rana was studying B.Tech in electronics and communications before she auditioned for the Miss India 2012 pageant, where she was one of the finalists and also won the sub-title Miss Dream Girl. Later as a representative of Miss India, Purva Rana also was crowned the 1st runner up at Miss Tourism 2012 in Myanmar.

Beauty Queen Not Interested In Patching Up With Co-Star

debutante actresses Zoya Afroz (Miss India 2013 Second Runner-Up) and Sonali Raut had a catfight in early 2014. After that they decided against jointly promoting The Xpose. The two had clashed while shooting for Kapil Sharma's television show, as part of the film's promotional campaign. Lead actor Himesh Reshammiya tried to broker peace, but in vain.

Interestingly, the girls had first locked horns while shooting a similar scene for the movie. Back then, Himesh had managed to calm them down. The next time around, The Times of India reports, Kapil is also attempting a truce between Zoya and Sonali. "He planned to host a dinner for them so that they can resolve their differences," says a source.

Zoya maintained, "I'm not interested in patching up with Sonali."
