The Maithil Brahmins are a community of Brahmins who primarily reside in the Mithila region of Bihar and Nepal. The Kasyap section of Maithil Brahmins is one of the several sub-sections of this community, and the Darihare-Ratauli caste is a sub-caste within this section.

The 21st century

The Maithil Brahmins are a community of Brahmins who primarily reside in the Mithila region of Bihar and Nepal. The Kasyap section of Maithil Brahmins is one of the several sub-sections of this community, and the Darihare-Ratauli caste is a sub-caste within this section.
