January 23, 2018: The Times of India


Recorded a national record and world-leading effort of 18.86m for win a gold medal in the women’s shot put event during the first leg of the Asian Grand Prix Athletics Meet in Jinhua, China. With this, she qualified for the IAFF World Championships. During the second leg in the Chinese city of Jiaxing, Manpreet won silver with a throw of 17.46m. Won gold with a throw of 18.28m at the 22nd Asian Athletics Championship in Bhubaneshwar, beating defending champion Guo Tianqian of China.
