Therefore, this article is being posted mainly for its historical value.
Head-quarters of the subdivision of the same name in Gaya District, Bengal, situated in 24° 53' N. and 85° 33' E. on both banks of the Khuri river. Population (1901), 5,908. Since the opening of the South Bihar Railway, on which it is a station, Nawada is growing into an important trade centre. It contains the usual public offices ; the sub-jail has accommodation for 20 prisoners.
