DADU, Oct 12: Speakers at a seminar held on Saturday evening to mark the 16th death anniversary of renowned Sindhi poet Ustad Bukhari showered praises on the poet and said he had protected Sindhi language through his poetry.

The seminar was held at the Government Talibul Maula High School.

Renowned poet Sarkash Sindhi said that Ustad Bukhari was alive in the hearts of people. Bukhari was the poet of people and he commanded tehir respect, said Rashid Morai.

Taj Joyo said that Bukhari was one of the poets who had talked about all the people, right from the lower class to the upper class.

Asif Mithinwavi and Dr Laiq Zardari said that Bukhari had discussed present, past and feature in his poetry and he laid stress on striving for peace and unity.

Anwar Azad Kandhro said that Ustad Bukhari’s poetry would protect Sindhi language because he had used unadulterated Sindhi in his poetry. Manzoor Sakhirani, Zamin Ali and others enthralled the audience.
