In the Delhi Art Fair, 2015, Valay Gada made his presence felt with a gleaming copper-gold sculpture that resembled a coil of flora. It challenged the concretisation of the city, as nature's molten force made its way through. Gada, who lives in Mumbai and Delhi, says, "My work has always been about the tug of war between nature and civilisation. You could say I am partial to nature since it is under threat."
