A Sri Lankan man by the name of Niroshan Devapriya is claiming to be Aishwarya's alleged former boyfriend. As per a report in Hindustan Times, this person has filed a complaint against the actress for causing him mental stress by marrying Abhishek Bachchan. Link ups and rumours are a part of a celebrity's life and Ash has been targeted once again! She has been linked to some of the hottest men in Bollywood. Here's a look at her alleged affairs.
Rajeev Mulchandani - It is alleged that Aishwarya was dating Rajeev Mulchandani, a model she met during her shoots. Apparently, Aishwarya knew him from the time the two were modelling. The former beauty queen even did some photo-shoots with her alleged former boyfriend. But Ash is not his only claim to fame. Rajeev is said to have also dated Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala and it is alleged that Ash and Manisha even had a catfight because of him. But if there is any truth to this rumour, it's forgotten as Ash has now become Mrs. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajeev Mulchandani has been forgotten for good.
Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai - Salman Khan and Aishwarya’s famous love story began on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The actor was besotted by the light eyed beauty and the two are said to have dated from 1999-2001. But this legendary love story was not meant to be. Ash apparently called off the relationship due to Salman’s infidel ways, when the actor indirectly confessed to her that he had cheated on her. After we broke up, he would call me and talk rubbish. He also suspected me of having affairs with my co-stars. I was linked up with everyone, from Abhishek Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan. There were times when Salman got physical with me, luckily without leaving any marks. And I would go to work as if nothing had happened.”
Aishwarya was then linked to her co star Viveik Oberoi when the two were shooting for Kyun! Ho Gaya Na. Viveik had apparently gifted Ash 30 gifts on her 30th birthday and was said to be besotted by her. However, it seems things did not go well with Salman who apparently threatened the life out of him. While Viveik called a press conference (that would ruin his career in Bollywood), Aishwarya quickly moved on to Junior Bachchan and married him. In the press conference, he had said that Salman had called him a number of times and abused him. Whatever truth there was to this rumour, seemed to die down overnight as Ash was then romantically linked to Aby Baby aka Junior Bachchan aka Abhishek Bachchan. In an interview to entertainment.oneindia.in, Viveik was quoted saying, "When I was in both my serious relationships (Gurpreet Gill and Aishwarya Bachchan) I was very committed..." (sic)
Abhishek Bachchan - While Ash and Abhi shared a cordial relationship with each other and worked together on films like 'Dhai Akshar Prem Ke', 'Kuch Naa Kaho', 'Umrao Jaan' and 'Guru', they were never romantically linked. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have done various films together like Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, Kuch Naa Kaho, Umrao Jaan and Guru where they have been paired opposite each other. The couple also starred in the commercially successful Dhoom 2 but Aishwarya was paired opposite Hrithik Roshan in this one. Ash and Abhishek have also done Raavan together. While they initially worked with each other in Dhai Akshar Prem Ke and Kuch Naa Kaho, Abhishek and Aishwarya weren't linked to each other. If a report in Open Magazine is believed to be true, then veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan is miffed with his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for sharing steamy scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in Karan Johar's next directorial venture 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'.
The report states that the Bachchan's want portions of the film to be edited and that they have communicated the same to Karan. However, sources close to some portals say that this news is baseless and they do not interfere with Aishwarya's work.
