Rainwater from the hill replenishes Damdama lake

Land on the hill was originally owned by people of 12 villages, including Damdama, Ritoz, Behlpa and Khedla, surrounding Damdama Lake Villagers have been selling their shares since 1980s to individual buyers Revenue department recently identified individual plots (consolidation) as per a government notification
This clears way for giving ownership to the land owners and now they can use it for residential, agricultural or recreational purposes
Likely impact
If houses are constructed on the hillock, the structures would block the rainwater flow to the lake, which might go dry like Badkhal, Surajkund and Dhauj water bodies in the Aravalis
