UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Cultural and natural sites considered of outstanding value to humanity are included in UNESCO's world heritage sites list. With 50 such sites, the highest in the world, Italy appears to be the most value for money. India, sixth on the list, has 32 such sites. The list includes ancient and modern as well as cultural and natural sites. For instance the sites listed in India include the Ajanta Caves, Taj Mahal, Goa's churches as well as the Western Ghats and Valley of Flowers.
