Sharad Purnima, also called Kojagiri Purnima or Kumar Purnima, is a Full Moon Day and a harvest festival . It marks the end of monsoon.
It is also known as Kaumudi ( Moon Light ) Celebration . It is believed that the Moon through its beams showers अमृत or Elixir of Life .
