The post office was built in the year 1940 to cater to the postal need of Paharpur and its surrounding areas. In British India this village was not well connected. Nearest post office was at Sagra which was 4 kilometre from paharpur.
So it was difficult for people of Paharpur to send and receive mails. Shri B D Dube established this post office to provide great amenity to people to send and receive mails promptly. Till today this post office is functioning well.
