Air Marshal Denzil Keelor PVSM, KC, AVSM, VrC, born on December 7, 1933, was a distinguished officer in the Indian Air Force and a celebrated hero of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. Born in Lucknow, he was commissioned into the IAF on November 6, 1954. During the 1965 war, he earned the Vir Chakra for shooting down a Pakistani Sabre jet while leading a mission.
