Anjena

Leggy actress Anjena has made a mark in South Indian cinema in a very short time. She is pretty as well as talented.

Family

Anjena comes from a cinema family. Her father Ravi is an award-winning editor in Malayalam cinema and her mother Swapna Ravi, now a character actor, too is part of the industry. However, her parents were not interested in letting her pursue acting as a career. Anjena was not allowed to enter films. So, she worked as a flight attendant and model for two years and lived abroad.

However, films were a passion and after many tantrums, they finally let her act; later her parents are totally supportive of her career.

Though she is a Malayali, Anjena has gone to lengths to stress that she was very much a Chennai girl.

Filmography

Kaanagam (Tamil) Anjena made her debut in this romantic thriller. Directed by Maamani, she was paired with Krishna Dev. She played a millionaire's daughter. Many of the scenes were a mix of real-life sequences and computer-generated images. For the scenes in the forest, Anjena had to imagine the leopard and other wildlife and shoot against a plain background, which was merged with CG images (The Hindu)

Vaasthavam 3D (Telugu) was a fantasy film in which she was paired with Abid Bushan, and directed by Sathya Reddy.

I-Na She was then signed up as one of the eight leads by producer-director Ravindar Chandrasekaran of Libra Productions. I-Naa was a globe-trotting thriller shot in six countries, has her play a fearless agency reporter, who is something of a Bond girl.
