Garema Khurana, Badshah on studying mathematics at DU’s St. Stephen’s College before turning to rap, Apr 5, 2017: The Times of India

We know him as the really cool rapper who adds swag to Bollywood songs. We also know him as the man who added spunk to popular remixes in mainstream Bollywood films. But what we did not know about Badshah is the fact that this simple boy from Chandigarh who is making the nation dance to his tunes is also a mathematician to boot.

Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia a.k.a Badshah (yes, that's his real name!) studied Mathematics at Delhi University's St. Stephen's College before leaving the course mid-way to pursue a degree in Engineering. It was at Chandigarh's PEC Institute of Technology, where Badshah was introduced to new-age music. "Had I not gone to PEC I wouldn't have been what I'm today, I was exposed to a lot of international music there," said the rapper while talking to TOI Entertainment.

Badshah is in the news for his new single 'Mercy' that features himself and ace dancer Lauren Gottlieb. The song has been composed and rendered by Badshah. 'Mercy' was released digitally and became the third most viewed song on YouTube within days of its release.
