14 Nov 2017 / Vadodara: Nearly three decades ago, his father made waves in under-19 cricket by scoring a double century against Mumbai in the Cooch Behar Trophy. Mohit Mongia broke his father’s long-standing record by scoring a blistering unbeaten 240 runs off just 246 balls against Kerala in the same tournament. In 1988, Nayan had scored 224, then the highest for any Baroda U-19 batsmen in the trophy till Mohit, captain of Baroda U-19 team, surpassed it.
