Juba

Deserted fortress in the Surguja State, Central Provinces, situated in 23 degree 43' N. and 83 degree 26' E., about 2 miles south-east of Manpura village. The fort stands on the rocky shoulder of a hill, and commands a deep gorge overgrown with jungle. Hidden among the trees are the remains of carved temples, almost covered with accumu- lations of vegetable mould.
