Katrina praises Ranbir, his family
According to a report on Media247.co.uk, Katrina Kaif is all praise for her alleged boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. The report cited a PTI story where the actress was quoted as saying that Ranbir Kapoor is a naturally gifted actor. In an interview with TOI, Katrina had said, "Ranbir is like me, in the way that he is very loyal and emotional to the people he really cares about in his inner circle, which is very small. He can come out very detached to people outside of that. The only difference between his behaviour and my behaviour, let's say on a film set, is that while he is incredibly charming and polite with everyone that he comes in contact with, I don't think he yet realises what an important and amazing trait that is, I will get tired after saying a good morning to just three people."
While Katrina is usually reluctant to talk about her alleged beau, Ranbir Kapoor, she was all praise for Ranbir's parents.
In an interview at the India Today Conclave, actress Katrina Kaif went on to praise alleged boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor’s parents to no end. When questioned about her relation with Neetu, Katrina called her a beautiful, stunning and fantastic lady and praised her for starting her career at such a young age, and marrying her love.
But Ranbir’s family does not reciprocate
Interestingly, the Bang Bang actress took the blame for fuelling the rumours of her relation going sour with them, as she chose to keep quiet. When asked about Neetu cropping her out in a selfie, Katrina said that she needs airbrushing in her pictures, and since she is not active on the social platform, she is unaware of it. Calling Rishi Kapoor a darling, Katrina reminded her fans that the two acted together in the film Namaste London and even went out on dinners.
While Katrina doesn’t get tired of praising the Kapoors, Neetu Singh recently shared Deepika and Ranbir’s picture on Instagram.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Neetu Kapoor surprised her 50,000 followers when she posted a picture of her son Ranbir Kapoor with his former flame, Deepika Padukone, from Ayan Mukerji's blockbuster, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, with the caption `A Happy Joyous Colourful Holi to all my Insta Buddies !!!!' The still from the popular Holi song, 'Balam pichkari,' sent fans of RK and Dippy into a tizzy, with some speculating that the former lovebirds will eventually reunite while others claimed that Neetu `aunty' was sending an `indirect message' to her son's live-in partner, Katrina Kaif. Rishi Kapoor, however, retorted, saying that, "I imagine it is Holi thus a picture of revelry and that's a song her son has sung. Don't overstretch your imagination!"
While Rishi Kapoor came to his wife's rescue this time, Ranbir's sister, Riddhima had to step in to clear the air when mother Neetu Kapoor had cropped out Katrina from a picture that she posted on Instagram. The Kapoor clan has always refrained from commenting on Ranbir Kapoor's relationship status with alleged girlfriend Katrina Kaif. Apart from the one instance when Kareena spilled the beans on Koffee With Karan, the duo and their family have kept mum about their relationship. However, Ranbir's sister Riddhima Sahni felt the need to come clean on certain aspects to clear the air about her mother's disapproval of Ranbir's reported girlfriend. According to a report in DNA, a picture on Neetu Kapoor's Instagram picture, where she had allegedly cropped out Katrina from the frame, provided fodder for the rumour mills. Gossip vines suggested that Ranbir's mother's disapproval over the couple's decision to move in together was apparent in the gesture of cropping out the actress from the frame. Apparently, Neetu Kapoor also received a lot of crass comments on the picture and that is when her daughter decided to take matters in her hands. She gave the offender an earful and reprimanded gossip mongers.

Mother Neetu Singh is also keen to see her son tying the knot and it was reported that she wants Ranbir to get married by 2016. According to a report on Bollywoodmantra.com, when asked about Ranbir’s marriage plans, Neetu Singh said at an event that they are ready whenever Ranbir is ready. The report quoted her saying, “Aaj kal ke bachchon ka kuch pata nahi hota. When they get ready… when they gonna get married… what they want to do. They are absolutely on their own trip, so I don’t know.” [sic] She also said that as a mother she wants him to get married soon, but she doesn't think he is ready. Also when asked about Katrina celebrating Christmas with the Kapoors, Neetu said that whoever Ranbir wants to get along with him, he can, stated the report.
Katrina tries to douse the flames
According to a report on Bollywoodlife.com, a source informed that Katrina Kaif has started a WhatsApp group named The Kapoors! Katrina is the admin of the group and has added Neetu Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and mother Suzanne Torquette, the report stated. Further to the report, Rishi Kapoor already made an exit, possibly becoming the first one to quit this family WhatsApp group.
Katrina has been bonding big time with Ranbir's family. There have been reports of the actress spending time with Neetu Kapoor and also with Riddhima.
But recently, it was reported that a minor issue may crop up between the couple.
According to a report on Bollywoodlife.com, there is a small problem coming in the relationship of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. Katrina's former make-up artist Subhash Singh was fired by the actress for reporting late on the sets, the report stated. Apparently, Subhash will now don the producer’s hat with a Hindi movie that will be directed by Marathi filmmaker, Jayant Gilatar, the report further stated. Mentioning his quote given to a daily, the report added that if need be, Subhash will approach Ranbir (Kapoor) for the role and that he is sure Ranbir will do it. The film will go on floors in mid-March, the report concluded.
According to a report on Pinkvilla.com, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif spent a lovey-dovey Valentine's Day in Delhi. Ranbir, who is shooting in the capital city for Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha, apparently invited Katrina for a Valentine's Day break, the report stated. The couple reportedly spent a good three days together.
Katrina refuses films
Recently, Katrina was in news for returning the signing amount to Disney Pictures as she wants to settle down with Ranbir.
According to a report in Filmfare, Katrina Kaif has supposedly returned the signing amount to Disney Pictures as she did not want to commit to new projects. Reportedly the reason behind this decision is the fact that she wants to settle down with her alleged beau, Ranbir Kapoor. According to the report, she was offered a three-film deal by Disney, with Fitoor being one of the three films. However, she has returned the signing amount. The report further adds that Katrina is refraining from committing to long schedules as she will be settling down with Ranbir soon.
Did they get engaged?
Well, though this couple tries hard to keep their relationship under wraps, their actions speak otherwise. Recently, there were rumors that Ranbir and Katrina were secretly engaged but Ranbir denied the claims entirely.
In an exclusive interview to Bombay Times, Ranbir Kapoor cleared the air on speculations regarding his engagement with his alleged girlfriend Katrina Kaif. The Kapoor lad said, “Engagement is to tell the world that right now we are promised to get married. I have not reached that place in my life”. He also wishes the paparazzi stops making conjectures about it as it spoils the spontaneity of it when it finally happens. Trying hard to protect his personal life from the cameras, Ranbir added that he wants to get married and have children and thus if it happens, he will certainly announce it.

Ranbir and Katrina reportedly hosted a house-warming party at their new pad at Carter Road in Bandra in November 2014. A report on mid-day.com quoted a source saying that Ranbir had been staying at Krishna Raj bungalow due to father Rishi Kapoor's illness. But with improvements in his health, the couple stepped into their new house. Friends from the industry Ayan Mukerjee, Hrithik Roshan, Kangna Ranaut, Anushka Sharma, Kabir Khan, Mini Mathur and Karisma Kapoor turned up at the new pad for dinner, reported mid-day.com.
When a TV channel decided to take a picture of their alleged love nest, Ranbir supposedly got angry at the crew, sources were quoted telling mid-day.com. Sources further said to mid-day.com that when the crew was trying to get a glimpse of the duo outside their Bandra house, Ranbir apparently went mad at them and though he could not catch the cameraman, he is said to have gotten his hands on the cameraman's backpack from the car and is said to have taken it with him. He apparently even asked the car driver to call the cameraman who allegedly begged Ranbir to let him go as it was his first day at work.
According to a report on Bollywoodlife.com, the lovebirds shelled out Rs 15 lakh per month as rent for their love nest. The report further quoted a source saying, “Katrina wants to share the rent with Ranbir.” Moreover, Kat had been taking care of all the paperwork as she had done this before having lived independently in the city for so long, the report stated. “Kat is investing a lot of time reading up a lot about home decor on various sites, magazines and books for their new home,” the report quoted a source close to Katrina.
According to a Mumbai Mirror report, the couple had visited interior designer and architect Ashiesh Shah on certain occasions for his inputs. The well-appointed apartment, which boasts of two terraces, already had the approval of two of the most significant others in RK's life - Ayan and KJo, the report further stated. But there was a bigger housewarming party on the anvil, where industrywallahs were likely to be invited for a closer look at what is being touted as the most stylish star home in the country, wrote Mumbai Mirror.
Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, who moved into their Carter Road apartment together, threw a pre-Christmas bash for their pals. "It's a big, beautifully done up house with a terrace garden overlooking the Arabian sea which is the envy of every owner in the block," a guest from the party told Mirror, adding, “The artefacts have been carefully handpicked by both from trips abroad, including London, Cape Town and Bangkok." According to a Mumbai Mirror report, the party began around midnight. RK's Rockstar director Imtiaz Ali, and Katrina's Phantom director, Kabir Khan and his wife Mini Mathur were among the first to arrive. While the guests interacted with one another, Ranbir had eyes only for his Kat. "They did a slow dance together, with pecks turning into lingering kisses. They looked every bit a loved-up couple," added the source.

The film's director Ali Abbas Zafar also joined in. Karan Johar got hold of the cast of his next film ¬ Aishwarya, Ranbir and Anushka Sharma-under one roof. Ash walked in with husband Abhishek and sister-in-law Shweta Nanda. With beau Virat Kohli in Australia, Anushka came alone. Ditto Sonam Kapoor. “Karan Johar and Imran have had their share of differences but they were courteous with each other,“ a source said to Mirror.

The party was momentarily disrupted when some Hindi chartbusters suddenly cut into the mellow mood, the report stated. Ensuring quantity time with each other
According to a report in Mid-day, Katrina Kaif is all set to join rumoured beau, Ranbir Kapoor in Delhi where he is shooting for his next with ex-flame, Deepika Padukone. According to the reports, the second schedule of the Imtiaz Ali directorial, Tamasha, has begun and the lead actors of the film, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor have already reached the capital to shoot for the film that is slated to release in December, this year. The report further claims that Ranbir's alleged girlfriend, Katrina might keep him company while he shoots in the freezing temperature.
Meanwhile, Katrina is currently shooting for Fitoor with Aditya Roy Kapur in Kashmir but Ranbir is not allowed on the sets of the film.
According to a report on Missmalini.com, Katrina Kaif, who is shooting in Kashmir for Abhishek Kapoor‘s Fitoor, won't get to meet boyfriend Ranbir while at work. The report states that Abhishek has booked dates from Rekha and Aditya Roy Kapoor as well, as he plans to wrap up the project as soon as possible. Engagement rumours
According to a report on Ndtv.com, Katrina Kaif has apparently admitted that her new year holiday was very special. In an interview with NDTV, Katrina, who vacationed in London with her family and then joined Ranbir Kapoor in NYC, spoke about the holiday and said that she had a wonderful new year and it was very special. When asked about the engagement rumours, she gave away little saying that there were no extra special things, but she had a lot of fun. According to the report, she focused more on the London part with family than the NYC part with Ranbir.
While Katrina has denied engagement reports, there is one advice that Ranbir's ex Deepika Padukone gave to Katrina recently.

According to a report, while speculation of their impending marriage has been rife for a while, a reliable source close to the actors had informed that Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were to get engaged on December 30, 2014 in London. “Katrina was in London to celebrate Christmas with her family. Ranbir joined her soon after. In the presence of a chosen few friends and Katrina’s family, the two apparently exchanged rings. Apparently, arrangements about the guests’ pick and drop were done in advance,” a source was quoted in the report. “The wedding is likely to happen post May 2015 as work is the couple's priority at the moment,” the report further quoted the source. However, when contacted Katrina on December 23 asking about the same, she had categorically denied the news stating, "No not true at all." According to a report on Bollywoodmantra.com, Ranbir’s parents Neetu and Rishi also flew to London to attend the engagement of their son.

According to a report on Deccanchronicle.com, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have been spotted partying together in New York City. Bollywood's alleged couple was spotted and clicked by fans and the pictures made their way to social networking sites. Ranbir, Katrina and Ayan Mukerji reportedly rang in the New Year at the Standard Hotel in New York, where singer Rita Ora performed live.
According to a report on Pinkvilla.com, Ranbir's fans were lucky to get photographs clicked with the star. The picture is taken at Starbucks, the report stated. Even Katrina Kaif, who joined him after celebrating Christmas with family in London, was at the store shopping with Ranbir, but she didn't get clicked as she was not well, the report further concluded.

Sonam Kapoor too got vocal about the relationship between Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. According to a report on Pinkvilla.com, when Sonam was asked what was most likely to happen in 2015 with three choices, the actress said that none of the events had any possibility of coming true. The options were if Salman Khan will get married, if the three Khans will do a movie together and if there's any chance of Ranbir-Katrina tying the knot, stated the report. Following up her blatant response, the actress did try to cover up, when asked what among the three events did she want to happen. Sonam replied that she would want to see Ranbir and Katrina getting married, the report concluded.
Katrina admits compatibility
Ranbir and Katrina have always kept mum about their reported relationship. The two reportedly moved in together, but never admitted to it in the media. However, it is only recently that Katrina has started opening up about the relationship or so it seems. A report on Bollywoodmantra.com stated that the actress, in an interview to Vogue India, picked Ranbir as her ideal partner on a desert island. Though the actress admitted that Ali Abbas Zaffar is her closest friend, when it came to the desert island, it seems that she would prefer taking alleged boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
Mid 2015: the relationship was over
Ranbir Kapoor was on Tinder while dating Katrina Kaif?
Their relationship might have hit rock bottom mid-2015. In an interview with a fashion magazine, Ranbir revealed that he tried using London version of dating app ‘Tinder’ in 2015, but wasn’t impressed with it. The actor opened up about the dating app saying, “I was in London last year and someone put me on the London version of Tinder. And though it has made social life easy, it’s quite… what’s the word?… it’s quite mean.” He went on to question what was going on in the world for people to resorting to such apps. Though Ranbir Kapoor wasn't invited to the big Khan wedding of the year, his alleged ladylove Katrina Kaif chose to be a part of the celebrations given her equation with the bride, Arpita Khan. However, according to a report in DNA, Ranbir simply laughed-off Salman's tongue-in-cheek comments for his girlfriend Katrina Kaif. The actor apparently didn't mind Salman addressing Katrina as Katrina Kapoor and also didn't react to his comments on the actress' missed opportunity to be Katrina Khan. While it would have been expected that the actor would be miffed with the reports, Ranbir surprised everyone by taking the episode as a mere joke.
Doing a film together
Ranbir and Katrina fans have every reason to rejoice as their favourite on-screen pair is shooting for yet another film together. Katrina and Ranbir are currently shooting for Jagga Jasoos in Film City. However, the actors are not talking to each other. Why you ask? Well, because they are singing out their lines. According to a report in DNA, Jagga Jasoos is a musical and will have Ranbir and Kat communicating with each other through songs. The film that combines elements of a musical and a suspense-thriller, is an experiment of sorts and features 20 songs, all composed by Pritam.
The alleged couple was in Thailand shooting for their upcoming film Jagga Jasoos. Pictures of the duo snapped at the shooting location had been doing the rounds on Twitter. Apparently, the team was shooting in the town of Pai.

Mumbai Mirror quoted a source saying, “This means that Ranbir and Katrina will be celebrating Diwali in Pai this year (2014) which isn't such a bad deal given that they will at least be together and away from prying eyes and wagging tongue.”
Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were seen shooting in South Africa for Ranbir's home production Jagga Jasoos. They were spotted walking hand-in-hand on the streets of SA. Katrina completed the shooting for Bang Bang and made her way to the shoot. According to reports, the couple seemed much at ease, shopping and enjoying. Seemed like the they moved past all the limelight hogging their relationship.
And not doing one together As per a report on Pinkvilla.com, live-in partners Katrina and Ranbir Kapoor won't share screen space in Rajneeti 2. In the second part of the film, the plot will revolve around Katrina Kaif's life and she will eventually seen taking the CM's position. Rajneeti proved out to be a pathbreaking film for Katrina and she would be hoping for the sequel of the film to further cement her position in the industry
Seeking the family’s approval
While Ranbir Kapoor was off to South Africa with Katrina Kaif, he had reportedly asked his mother Neetu Singh to join them. However the Punjabi mom turned down the offer. According to a DNA report, Neetu Singh wanted to give the couple some space and time together. The report further stated that Neetu is fond of Katrina who she thinks would be an ideal daughter-in-law for the Kapoor khaandan. With the approval of parents, Ranbir-Katrina might be preparing for a bigger picture.
It is not just parents who are reportedly getting involved in the alleged affair of Ranbir and Katrina. According to a report, Ranbir Kapoor had taken Katrina Kaif to meet his grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor. The couple had reportedly visited Krishna Raj Kapoor at their ancestral bungalow in Deonar. From what the reports stated, it seemed that Katrina was slowly getting introduced to more and more members of the family.
Public appearances no longer matter to the couple. In the past few months, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have been making appearances together. After the much hyped and controversial bikini moment in Spain, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif seem to have thrown caution to wind. They were also spotted leaving Karan Johar's house party. Like other Bollywood couples, hopefully Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif too will come out in the open about their relationship, to surprise and shock everyone.

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif broke the hearts of many fans when they decided to part ways after a six-year long courtship. The couple hasn't been on talking terms since then and has reportedly often avoided bumping into each other too.
While the two refused to comment on their break-up, several months later, in Aug 2016 Ranbir Kapoor finally spoke openly about it. In a short promo for a news channel, Ranbir is seen talking about his much-publicised break-up with Katrina. In the promo, when Ranbir is asked about the break up, he says, "It was really punctured by lot of things. By baseless rumours, and reports and perceptions and point of views." On being probed further if it was hard for him to overcome it, he admits, "It hurt because I think after my parents, she has been the most influential, motivational entity in my life."

Sept 2016: Katrina moves out of the love nest
In Sept 2016, seven months after their bitter breakup, Katrina Kaif moved out of the plush sea-facing penthouse she was renting with ex Ranbir Kapoor on Carter Road in suburban Mumbai’s Bandra area.
While Ranbir had moved into his ancestral bungalow in Chembur, Katrina had decided to stay on. She even shot her Facebook debut video in the same house where the former couple lived for nearly two and half years.
According to news reports, Kaif had been relentlessly searching for an apartment and she has finally found one 2BHK apartment in one of the buildings where she had lived earlier. A source close to the actor revealed, “She started moving her belongings about 15 days ago [in late August 2016].”
As far as Ranbir is concerned, even as he stayed in his family home, he continued looking for an apartment that would suit his sensibilities. Reports suggest that he has found a dream home in Bandra’s Hill Road area and has even asked Gauri Khan to help him with the interior decoration.
