Koraput Village, 1908

Head-quarters of the tahsil of the same name in Vizagapatam District, Madras, situated in 18 degree 48' N. and 82 degree 44' E. It is the head-quarters of the Koraput subdivision, and the residence of the Special Assistant Agent and the Superintendent of police, Jeypore, as well as of several German missionaries. Population (1901), 1,560. There is a police reserve here, besides the usual head-quarters offices and buildings.
