The Kundian Nuclear Complex-2 is a reprocessing facility which France originally agreed to supply in the late 1970s. Although the French ended the contract in 1978, Pakistan was left with sufficient design plans to continue working on the facility, and French engineers continued construction until June 1979. Construction apparently resumed in 2007, and satellite imagery shows the facility may have been completed. It is unknown if the facility is currently operational.
