4X400M GOLD AT NATIONAL GAMES

Hailing from a remote hamlet in Rampachodavaram agency in Andhra, Rajitha spent most of her childhood collecting firewood from the forest to help her parents. Along with her three siblings, she used to walk 10km daily to reach her school in Katukapalli. But landing a place at the govt residential school in Nellore was the game changer. Her physical fitness prompted her teachers to put her into athletics and, soon, she shifted to Hyderabad, where she joined the Gopichand-Mytrah Foundation. “My parents had to migrate from Chhattisgarh and struggled to make a living. Today, I wonder how I could do all this,” Rajitha said.
