Ex-Isro chief MGK Menon, Nov 23 2016 : The Times of India
Former Indian Space Research Organisa tion (Isro) cha irman MGK Menon, was dis tinguished for investigations in the field of cosmic ray studies and highenergy interactions of elementary particles.
Isro officials said he had held the post of adviser in the department of space and Isro. n a career spanning more than five decades, Menon has worked closely with noted people like Homi J Bhabha. He became chairman of Isro in 1972 and later worked as a minister of state for science and technology and education in the VP Singh government (1989). He was also the director of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research when he was 35, and a fellow of the Royal Society of London.
He died in New Delhi in 2016 at age 88.
