Born to an Assamese mother and a Jain father, 23-year-old Nivedita -- her father claims she was 19 -- made news both on and off screen during her short career. She won the Miss Bangalore beauty contest before being selected as a heroine for the Kannada film

In Nov 2010, the then 25-year-old Kirtana Krishnan was molested by a gang of 15-20 drunken men at the National Games Village (NGV) club when she requested them to reduce the volume on the music system and allow the residents to sleep peacefully. Kirtana Krishnan also won the Femina Miss South (Beautiful skin) title in 2007 and has featured in the promos of companies like Titan,Berger Paints and Brooke Bond.
