Miss Coimbatore: careers after the crown

Winners of the Miss Coimbatore title (between 2000 and 2006) have gone on to become:

airhostesses (Smitha, Anupama); models (Merita, Anupama), VJs (Nisha: with Asianet, Dubai; Pooja Ramachandran: with SS Music).

Miss Coimbatore 2001

Winner: Merita D'Souza

Merita went on to act in commercials and do ramp shows in Chennai. She acted with Surya in Kaakha, Kaakha

Anupama Rajagopal, then 21, was a third year visual communication student of Dr GRD College of Arts and Science the college and a Bharatnatyam dancer from Kerala
