Nariman Light House
2018: a renovated Chabad House
The renovated Chabad House 2018
Laughter and excited voices rang through Nariman House, the Jewish centre of worship in Colaba, on Sunday as a group of high-spirited children celebrated a birthday party on the eve of the tenth anniversary of the 2008 terror strike. The 6-storeyed building, which has undergone a series of renovations over the past year, will be renamed Nariman Light House on Monday. Bullet marks have been preserved on a wall of the second floor where the child survivor, Moshe Holtzberg, was found sobbing beside his parents’ bodies. The rooftop has a large plaque with the names of all the 168 victims who fell victim to the terrorists. The Pradhan committee that probed the security lapses before and during 26/11 recorded that nobody in the Mumbai police or the Maharashtra government knew of the existence of a Chabad House in the city
