Town in the Abbottabad tahsil of Hazara District, North-West Frontier Province, situated in 34° 10' N. and 73° 16' E., about 3 miles east of Abbottabad. Population (1901), 4, 1 14. Before the foundation of Abbottabad it was the chief town of the Rash plain. The municipality was created in 1867. During the ten years ending 1902-3 the income averaged Rs. 2,600, and the expenditure PvS. 2,500. In 1903-4 the income was Rs. 2,700, chiefly from octroi ; and the expenditure was Rs. 2,800.
