The beginning
Priyanka Chopra was crowned Miss World on Nov 30, 2000, and the actress says the international beauty pageant was her "beginning".
"Wow! Was I really 17 then! The beginning of my beginning" she would later tweet.
After winning the title, she entered the Hindi film industry in 2003 with "The Hero: Love Story of a Spy", which co-starred Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta.
The multi-talented actress went on to carve a name for herself in acting, singing and has now also ventured into production.
In 2014 she was praised for playing boxing champion M.C. Mary Kom in her biopic titled "Mary Kom".

Arguably a game changer for Bollywood: She started with criticism again for her sleek and dark looks in her debut movie against Akshay Kumar. She took up the challenge of playing the seductress in her next and bagged all the accolades for her acting. After this, there was no looking back as she effortlessly played mixed performance-oriented films like Fashion and Barfi. She has also made the age-old demarcation between a hero and heroine redundant and one can easily describe her as a SHERO.
The nose job! Just when the girl was touching heights in her Bollywood career, speculations arose about her looks and that she has undergone knife. Priyanka Chopra-Aseem Merchant: Priyanka Chopra, who started her career as a model and later went on to win the Miss World crown was apparently dating Aseem during her modelling days. Aseem, who was last seen in the Salman Khan starrer Wanted, was recently in the news as he announced that he will be making a biopic on Priyanka Chopra's life. According to reports Priyanka Chopra broke up with Aseem two years after becoming Miss World. And after so many years the alleged couple clashed when Priyanka sent a legal notice to Aseem forbidding the biopic "67 Days". Aseem's production company Limelight Motion Pictures Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. will produce the film and is in no mood to give up.
Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra: Even though Akshay was a married man, his so called flirtatious habits didn't change with time or so it is reported. After a few years of marriage, the actor made headlines for his alleged relationship with Bollywood bombshell Priyanka Chopra. Their On and off-screen chemistry was visible to everyone after they worked in films like "Andaaz", "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi", "Aitraaz" and "Waqt: Race against time". Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan: Gossip mongers were working overtime as they churned out many stories about an alleged link-up between the King Khan of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra. The most talked about alleged love affair between the two spread like wild fire and in no time, Priyanka who was close to SRK's wife Gauri's friend circle, was apparently boycotted and banned by them. It was also reported by certain sections of the media that Shah Rukh's wife Gauri apparently warned the actor from working with her. However, it was close friend Karan Johar's tweet that added fuel to the fire. Karan tweeted, "Using their hired PR machinery and hiding behind so called 'friends' to get news into tabloids is nothing but spineless and lame!!!" Karan had tweeted in response to an article. Neither Shah Rukh nor Priyanka have ever spoken about the rumors of their link-up.
Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor: Although both Priyanka and Shahid had always denied ever being a couple, many reports in the media hinted at how they were an item. In fact, according to some news reports in the media it was reportedly Shahid's decision to keep their relationship a hush-hush affair and Priyanka just followed it. Apparently, Shahid didn't want to repeat the mistake that he did with his much-publicised relationship with Kareena Kapoor. Apart from being neighbours, the alleged couple also did a couple of advertisements together. Why she left Filmistan for Hollywood/ a 2023 interview
Priyanka Chopra Jonas revealed why she left the thriving movie career in India for Hollywood. In a recent interview with Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast, Chopra Jonas disclosed that she had been pushed into a corner in the industry, and that there were people who refused to cast her for reasons.
She also highlighted the pay disparity she faced in India with her male colleagues, although she acknowledged that things have changed in the current streaming era as actresses can now market titles as co-leads with men.
Chopra Jonas left India in 2015, and her music career gave her the opportunity to move to another part of the world without groveling at the feet of certain people. She released her debut single, “In My City,” which featured rapper will.i.am. After that, she landed the lead role in the American television series Quantico, becoming the first South Asian to headline an American network drama series.
The show became a hit, and her career in Hollywood was launched, with roles in various other projects such as Baywatch, The White Tiger, and The Matrix Resurrections. She has co-starred with actors like Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, and Jim Parsons. Priyanka also found love in America and is now married to American singer and actor Nick Jonas.

Priyanka Chopra becomes the second most beautiful woman
In an online poll conducted by video-sharing social media network Buzznet, desi girl and International icon, Priyanka Chopra was announced the second ‘Most Beautiful Woman’ behind Queen B (Beyonce), defeating a sea of other extremely gorgeous women.
PeeCee took to twitter to show gratitude for the recognition by tweeting “Thank u @BUZZNET and all who voted. @Beyonce is my number 1 too!!”
Taylor Hill, a popular model and Victoria’s Secret angel is voted at number three followed by Emma Watson, Dakota Johnson and Hillary Clinton at fourth, fifth and sixth positions respectively.
In two years of Priyanka’s television career in the West, she has been recognized as the ‘Best Actor’ twice by the People’s Choice Awards. Now, she is all set to be seen as a ‘baddie’ in her upcoming Hollywood debut Baywatch alongside Dwayne Johnson. The film is scheduled to hit the theaters on May 26.
Hollywood’s leading ladies Angelina Jolie and Emma Stone settled for a modest number eight and twelve positions respectively with supermodel Gigi Hadid ranked 13th and the former first lady of the US, Michelle Obama 21st.
Interestingly, the list also included Priyanka’s Baywatch co-star Alexandra Daddario. This girl surely likes to swing!
