Sainthia

Village in the head-quarters subdivision of Birbhum District, Bengal, situated in 23 57' N and 87 41' E., on the East Indian Railway, 119 miles from Howrah. Population (1901), 2,622. The village, which lies on the Mor river, is connected with Stiri by a good road. It is an important trade centre.
