Seram Town

Head-quarters of the taluk of the same name in Gulbarga District, Hyderabad State, situated in 17 n'N. and 77 i8'E., on the Nizam's State Railway. Population (1901), 5,503. Seram contains many old temples and mosques, notable among them being the old Jama Masjid, constructed in the pillar and lintel style, and the temple of Panchalinga, the pillars of which are richly carved, while the ceilings are well decorated. It has a ginning factory also.
