Briefly

Hazrat Makhdum, also known as Shaikh Bahauddin Zakariya, was a famous Sufi saint and scholar who lived in the 13th and 14th centuries. He was born in Multan, which is now in Pakistan, in 1170 CE and died in 1267 CE.

Shaikh Baha’uddin was a disciple of Khwaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiar Kaki, a famous Sufi saint in India. He traveled extensively throughout the Islamic world, studying with many different Sufi masters and spreading the teachings of Islam and Sufism.

Shaikh Baha’uddin was known for his spiritual teachings and his poetry, which expressed his devotion to God and his love for the Prophet Muhammad. He is also known for his contributions to the development of the Suhrawardiyya Sufi order.

Shaikh Baha’uddin's tomb is located in Multan, Pakistan, and is a popular destination for pilgrims and tourists.
