Ter

Town in the District and taluk of Osmanabad, Hyderabad State, situated in 18° 19' N. and 76° 9' E., on the Tirna river, 12 miles north-east of Osmanabad. Population (1901), 7,327. There are some very interesting remains, said to be connected with the ancient city of Tagara. It contains a police station and a school, and is composed of twelve ivddls or hamlets, being really an overgrown village. A project is under consideration for the construction of a canal from the river close by.
