The winners

1997

In 1997, two Miss Nepal contests were organised.

Miss Nepal was organized by Kathmandu Jaycees and Miss world Nepal by Hidden Treasure.

Nilima Gurung of Pokhara was Miss Nepal Nilima Gurung later became the proprietor of a fitness center.

Jharna Bajracharya, Kathmandu, was miss Nepal World. Jharna did music videos.

1997

Jharana Bajracharya won Miss World Nepal 1997 at the age of 16 and was the first delegate from Nepal to Miss World. Jharana made her debut in Nepali movie industry by the end of the same year and went on to act in several dozen films. Her first music video was Nabin K Bhattarai's Lakhau Patak which was directed by Alok Nembang. Jharana created waves when she starred in Rajat Mukherjee's Love in Nepal where she took a very glamorous role. Post Love in Nepal Jharana went to Mumbai to do few ad works and videos.

Her Spiritual journey into knowing herself though started early this next phase had a different intensity. She was with it for more than 7 years and explored various dynamics of herself.
