Urvashi Rautela ‘relinquished’ her crown to Shilpa Singh who was the 1st Runner up and I Am She Miss Globe International 2012. Shilpa then competed and represented India at the Miss Universe 2012 Pageant at Las Vegas on the 19th of December

The ‘I Am She’ Organization officially said:

“The afore stated reliquishment is due to Urvashi's contradicting contracts as the winner and the title holder of the pageant, ' The 'Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International, 2011', a fact which she unfortunately overlooked during her participation in I Am She, 2012. Urvashi further acknowledges and agrees that she did not confirm to the minimum age criterion as is requred under the I Am She Pageant as well as the Miss Universe Pageant 2012.”

Uravashi was under age by 24 days. Miss Universe Organization stipulates that a participant be a minimum of 18 years old on the 1st of Feb of the year of contest. Uravashi turned 18 on 25th Feb 2012

Miss India World 2012: Beauty from Chandigarh, Vanya Mishra won the prestigious Miss India title in 2012. She is currently doing her undergraduate programme in Electrical Engineering. Vanya Mishra was born on February 27th, 1992 in Jalandhar, Punjab.

After winning the Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2012 Title, she went on to the Miss World 2012 pageant in Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China, where she won the Miss Social Networking and Miss Beauty with a Purpose title and made it into the top seven.

Miss India Earth 2012 Prachi Mishra has showcased a range of creations by A-list Indian fashion designers during International pageants and on fashion runways. Ask her to mention a few names and she says, "My Miss India finale outfit was designed by Rakesh Agrawal. It was a beautiful blue-coloured gown with a sexy slit! I have also worn Malini Ramani whose ensembles, I feel, are vibrant and colourful. My Indian look was designed by Ritu Kumar at Miss Earth". The designer that Prachi is eagerly waiting to wear is Marchesa as, "her designs are grand and look amazing on red carpet," says Prachi. In the same year, Rochelle Maria Rao who went for Miss International 2012 donned a Ritu Kumar lehenga-choli paired with a peacock feather headgear during the National Costume Challenge.
