Miss India 2002: Indian actress and model Neha Dhupia was born on August 27th, 1980, in Cochin, India.Neha Dhupia, a true-blue Virgo, won the Femina Miss India Universe 2002 title and was placed in the top 10 at the Miss Universe 2002 pageant. She is now a critically acclaimed actresses with many hits to her name. She also became a Bollywood actress, but before her Bollywood career, and before she won the Miss India pageant, she appeared in a 2000 Japanese movie, Nattu Odoru! Ninja Densetsu. Neha has gone on to appear in almost thirty Bollywood films.

This green-eyed girl, tried for the contest in 1999 too. "My determination brought me back... fortunately, I succeeded," says the ever-persistent and determined Shruti Sharma. She was a semi-finalist in the Miss World contest, which was decided by the audience by text messaging. Currently, Shruti is an actress in Bollywood. Shruti Sharma is another Miss India who has not kept up in the media buzz. She has one Bollywood movie ‘Tezaab – The Acid Of Love’ and a couple of endorsements to her credit.

Akshay’s question
Gauahar Khan participated in the Femina Miss India Contest in 2002.
She was on the receiving end of a puzzling question by actor Akshay Kumar during the contest. Akshay can be seen asking Gauahar, “There’s a saying ‘Behind every successful man, there is a woman’. Who is behind his failure?”
As the audience cheered at the question, Gauahar maintained her calm and composure before replying, “It is a very true saying that behind every successful man, there is a woman.”
“But, I firmly believe that every single individual is responsible for his own failures because it is one’s choice to go to the right or opt for wrong. Life is a blend of opposites, make the right choice,” she said.
